Hopefully, you guys had a restful Spring Break because District ASU will be BUSY getting ready for Celebr(Asian). We will be meeting up on Tuesday to get ready for the movie, and our last 5 MANDATORY dance practices will start on Thursday! Celebr(Asian): The PAAC Games will be on March 23 at 3PM! Arrive early because District ASU will be one of the first performances! We will also be doing Relay for Life the day before, so sign up for Team ASU today!

ASU Makes a Movie!
As some of you guys make know, ASU makes a movie every year for the annual Celebr(asian) show with all the other PAAC Group. This year is no different!
We will be meeting on Tuesday at 7:30 at Curry 240 at the Student Organization Resource Room. The room will be locked so just knock and we'll let you in! We'll go over the script, assign roles and also try to come up with a shooting schedule! Celebr(Asian) is in 2 weeks so we need to get everything done fast!

Our Past Videos ASU does Relay for Life!
ASU is going to do Relay for Life on March 22 at 6PM until March 23 at 6AM. It's a 12 hour event. You don't need to stay the entire time, but you'll have fun, you won't wanna leave. Relay for Life is hosted by the American Cancer Society, so all the proceeds will go to a good cause! There's always tons of giveaways, raffles, food, performances, and activities. Lots of organizations participate and all of Matthews is filled up! Come have fun with your fellow ASU members and support this great cause!

ASU Election Day!
We are very excited to announce that elections will be taking place March 27!
We strongly encourage dedicated members to run for one of the Eboard positions available.
Here's a list of the positions available:
(1) President
(1) Vice President
(1) Treasurer
(2) Co-Program Coordinators
(1) Secretary
(1) PAAC Representative
(1) Webmaster
In order to run for a position you must be nominated. Here are some general guidelines:
Members can be nominated for more than one position and are also able to nominate themselves.
Members will only be able to vote if they've attended at least two meetings or events this year.
Once nominated, you have the choice of accepting or declining nomination.
If you are accepting a nomination, please prepare a 2 minute speech explaining why you deserve the position you were nominated for.
President (1): (Previous E-board experience required)
- External face of ASU
- Plans Eboard meetings
- Keeps in touch with advisers about ASU's status
- Oversees the rest of the Eboard's actions, leading and helping them
- Keeps in contact with other student and outside groups.
- PAAC Rep
-Should not hold an eboard position in any other PAAC group
-Available to the rest of the eboard when face with any conflict or need.
Vice President (1): (Preferably with previous e-board experience)
- Internal face of ASU
- Plans weekly general meetings
- Takes over President's responsibilities if/when the president is unable to fulfill his/her duties
-Works with the President to make sure everything goes smoothly.
- PAAC Rep
Treasurer (1):
- Manages ASU's budget and cash accounts
- Responsible for filling out paperwork pertaining to ASU's accounts and BRC proposals
-Responsible for taking care of reimbursements
- Works with Program Coordinators in planning events
- Will present event proposals to BRC when requesting money
- Attended Treasurer's workshops (Only 1 per semester)
Co-Program Coordinators (2):
- Plans ASU's events for the year
- Liaison to agents and performers
- Will present event proposals to BRC when requesting money
- Works with President, VP and Treasurer in planning events
- Responsible for BRC proposal paperwork
-Will represent ASU at the ISSI Carnivale meetings
Secretary (1):
- Takes minutes/attendance of each meeting
- Book rooms for events
- Sends emails and Facebook messages
- Check and respond to email
- Works with Webmaster in updates
- Gets signatures for paperwork
Webmaster (1):
- In charge of ASU's website and Facebook page
- Works with Secretary in updates
PAAC Rep (1):
- Attends Pan Asian American Council meetings, reports about ASU's events/ideas/etc.
- Reports back to Eboard
- Plans CelebrASIAN with PAAC in the Spring
- Represents ASU at PAAC
- Liaison to the 7 other groups of PAAC
-Attend PAAC Retreat at the end of Augus
