ASU to be separated into two clubs

Due to recent development, the Asian Student Union Eboard has had a divide into where the organization is heading and how the club should be present itself.  This issue has turned out to be unresolvable and the two sides have decided the best action is to separate the club into two different student organizations.

The first organization shall be called The Asian Student Union: Classic (or ASUC) and will uphold the club's traditions of making a movie at each Celebr(Asian).  The second organization will be called New Asian Student Union (NASU) and will dance at Celebr(Asian) and be completely dedicated to twerking.  I hope that this addresses the issue at hand and that both organizations will have success in their own separate endeavors.  Just kidding, April Fools!

Sorry, that was a really lame April Fool's joke, but it's late and I almost forgot that it was April Fool's.  It's already April and that means the year is wrapping up!  We have both our last ASU Outing, "ASU has a BBQ!", this Saturday and our last General Meeting, our End of the Year Potluck, next Wednesday!  Come out and hang out with ASU members before the year ends!  We also have Inspir(Asian), the end of the year reception to celebrate everything the Asian American community at Northeastern has done this year!  We also have a PAAC Relay Fundraiser!  Also, for everyone who wants to get involved, PAAC At-Large Representative Applications are out! If you are interested in any of the things I just mention, just continue reading this newsletter!

Want a nice way to relax before exams start? Then join ASU for a BBQ outing! There will be some games and of course FOOD! It will be located at Franklin Park. Feel free to bring your own snacks or if you want, you can bring your own uncooked food and we can grill it at the BBQ! Please fill out the form below if you are coming!  If you are planning on bringing food or utensils, etc, please specify that as well. That way everyone will know how much to bring!

We will be using the 22 Bus at Ruggles to get there and it leaves at ~1 so please MEET at around 12:45 so we can catch the bus on time! Feel free to leave whenever.

So please bring yourselves, friends, and of course your stomach to this event!

PAAC Relay

PAAC will be holding a Relay Race Funraiser with tons of crazy relay races and awesome prizes this Sunday, April 7 at 1PM!  All proceeds will be donated to a charity in dedicated to Naman Shah, a dedicated Northeastern student who passed away recently.  You and 4 friends just needs to submit 20 dollars (4 dollars a person) to the AAC by 4/5 and also register online!  Check the Facebook event for more information!

ASU End of the Year Potluck

Come join ASU on April 10, 2013 at 6PM at 342 Curry (Location subject to change) as we celebrate the end of the year! Come see the other members before finals week/school ends!

It'll be potluck style, so please bring something and post on the google doc listed below what you want to bring! The more people who bring something, the more food there is to share! If you need a kitchen to use, you can post on the event wall, and maybe someone from Eboard will have a kitchen you can use!

Inspir(Asian)

Reserve your spot for Inspir(Asian), an end-of-the-year semi formal reception to honor all of the great things the Northeastern Asian American community has accomplished this year! There'll be food, awards, a photobooth, and all your friends!

It'll be April 12 at 6PM! Check out the facebook event and RSVP now before the deadline! Also apparently, there will be balloons.
